I-91 Corridor Regional Construction Forecast
Outlook for North-Central Connecticut & Western Massachusetts
Part of CI's Regional Construction Forecast Series

"Weathering the Storm... Positioning for a Positive Future"

Thursday, February 25, 2010
8:30 - 11:00 a.m. ● Registration 7:45 a.m.

Basketball Hall of Fame, Springfield, MA

This Regional Outlook will feature an economic overview of the Design and Construction marketplace, examine current and emerging trends in the region, and will discuss future growth strategies and opportunities that exist for potential work for A/E/C firms along the I-91 Corridor including the greater Hartford and Springfield areas.

This year's event, while continuing to explore Public and Private sector markets, will pay special attention to the health care industry as an economic driver for design and construction in the region.

This focus will include a broader overview of the industry and options for the financing of capital projects, as well as feature discussions of the senior living marketplace. Estimated figures say that the population over 65 is expected to double by the year 2030, based on data from the 2000 census. What is occurring in health care and how are we planning for the aging population will have a significant impact on the recovery of the A/E/C industry.
