This workshop will provide insight into the financial planning and management responsibilities of the facilities manager. Topics to be covered include: development and justification of capital and operational budgets including: maintenance or deferred maintenance, operating expense charge backs and rent allocations, benchmarking, cost reduction, life cycle analysis, variance analysis, RFPs, ROIs, and leases. We'll also cover the financial rationale behind in-house vs. out-sourced operations and internal and external audits. Instructor: Kathleen Pesce is the Facilities Business Manager at Sikorsky Aircraft. Kathy has over 20 years experience in the field and holds a B.S. in Economics and MBA and an MS in Labor Relations.
