Facilities Management Council

The Facilities Management Council members are comprised of owner representatives, who are professionals managing their organizations' real estate assets, facilities, engineering, design, construction and those responsible for capital and major maintenance expenditures. This Council is an advisory group to the Construction Institute and to the major organizations and institutions its members represent. The Council's focus encompasses the entire facilities management process.

Starting With You

The primary goal of the Council is to advance Facility owners knowledge of facilities management, operations, engineering, renovation/construction and related processes; provide leadership on regulatory issues that impact companies and construction in the state; and work on issues that improve the quality and cost effectiveness of facilities management and operations in the region.  The Council serves as a special vehicle for you to interact with your peers to share information, ideas, concerns, and interests through forums, roundtable discussions, conferences, and subcommittees.

In addition, the Council provides a means for you to keep up with the latest trends and developments in the industry through a variety of publications and educational programs . Subjects typically include: benchmarking and best practices, customer service, outsourcing, master planning, construction, design and space utilization, and environmental regulatory and energy-related issues.

Improving the Industry

As an advisory group, the Council also seeks to improve the quality and cost effectiveness of construction and facilities management of companies and institutions in the region as a whole. Much more than an information resource, we provide leadership on public policy, regulatory requirements, and other major issues that significantly impact the industry, your organization, and the work you do every day.
