On Thursday, June 14, 2007, at its 32nd Annual Membership and Awards Dinner, the Construction Institute will recognize Charles P. Condon and Robert D. Scinto with the organization’s highest individual honors.
Robert D. Scinto
The Institute’s Distinguished Achievement Award for “outstanding contributions to the construction industry” will be presented to Robert D. ‘Bob’ Scinto, Chairman of R. D. Scinto, Inc., a real estate and development company in southwest Connecticut, with 35 buildings totaling 2.9 million square feet of space. He is generally recognized for his courage and innovation in his professional dealings and for his generous philanthropic endeavors in his private life.
Charles P. Condon
Charles P. Condon will receive a Special Lifetime Recognition Award, acknowedging a lifetime of dedication to the Construction Institute and a continued impact on the construction industry. Condon has served the University of Hartford for 38 years in positions including Secretary and General Counsel. He has been an integral part of the Institute since its inception in 1985, acting as liaison between the Institute and the University and providing ongoing guidance and counsel to the organization.
Each year the Construction Institute, at the University of Hartford recognizes individuals who embody the highest level of professionalism in serving the construction industry in the State of Connecticut. Recipients are selected based on their personal achievements, for their impact on the Construction Institute and the construction industry, as well as their contributions to the larger community.

The Construction Institute’s 32nd Annual Membership and Awards Dinner takes place at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, CT on Thursday, June 14, 2007. The evening begins with cocktails and networking at 5:30 PM with Dinner and Awards following at 7:00 PM
