F O C U S : CI Members present Construction Issues Class at University of Hartford
The Construction Institute, as part of the Institute's "Future of the Workforce" initiative, has partnered with the University of Hartford to provide a "Construction Issues" class to students enrolled in the College of Engineering, Technology and Architecture (CETA). The class allows students the opportunity to learn from industry professionals and allows Member firms the opportunity to gain exposure to future industry participants.

Special State of the Construction Economy Forum - March 26th!
The current financial environment is one of the most severe we have seen in decades. It will be a time of change, challenge and also opportunity for the AEC industry. The Institute has established a task group to keep abreast of the federal government's recovery initiatives as information becomes available during the first quarter of the year.

Special Anniversary Celebrations in 2009
• The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is celebrating its 100-year anniversary.
KBE Building Corporation (formerly Konover Construction) is celebrating its 50-year anniversary. The new name reflects the 2007 acquisition of the firm through a management buy-out. The long-standing senior management team continues to lead the organization.
• Didona Associates - Landscape Architects is entering its 10th year.
