Description
This course will review why communication is so important in project management and dealing with people overall. It will provide key strategies of effective communication, as well as some examples of various techniques. Communication guidelines will be presented to help manage the proper use of phone calls, texts, emails and meeting invites. In addition, the importance of setting an organized agenda to follow with all the stakeholders present will be discussed. Communication, in all its forms, is vital to success in project management.

Construction Institute Project Management workshops are applicable towards prerequisite hours in PMI®'s Project Management Professionals (PMP®) program. Construction Institute is an AIA Registered Provider and a CCM Recertification Point Provider. Course attendees are eligible to receive 0.4 Continuing Education Units, 4 CCM Renewal Points, and/or 4 AIA Continuing Education Learning Units, verified through certificates of attendance, which are sent to participants after completion of workshop and assessment. Those wishing to receive AIA Continuing Education Learning Units and/or CCM Renewal Points should check in at the sign-in desk and fill out the appropriate attendance form(s) to receive credit.
