Who This Program Is For
This certificate is designed for construction project managers, site superintendents, owners' representatives, architects, and engineers who work in or alongside construction delivery. It is especially valuable for early- and mid-career professionals seeking formal recognition of field experience, or for those building a strong foundation in construction management practice.
Students from 26 states have completed Construction Institute certificate programs. All coursework is online and on-demand — no fixed schedule, no travel required.
What You Will Learn
Every course is built around how construction actually works — not theory, but real decisions made in real projects. By completing this program, you will be able to:
- Navigate construction contracts and manage change orders with confidence
- Apply core construction management principles from preconstruction through closeout
- Lead project teams and manage subcontractor relationships effectively
- Communicate clearly with owners, designers, and field personnel
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and risk across project phases
- Apply practical, field-tested strategies to real project challenges

Your Credentials
Upon completing all four courses, you will receive a Construction Institute Certificate of Completion and an official Credly digital badge — a secure, verifiable online credential you can share directly to LinkedIn, your resume, and digital portfolios. Employers and clients can verify your badge instantly.
The program is also eligible for AIA Learning Units (LU), CMAA Recertification Points, and NYS Continuing Education credits. The Construction Institute is a registered AIA CES Provider and an approved CMAA Recertification Point Provider. To receive AIA LUs, provide your AIA member number at registration; credits are reported to your AIA transcript automatically.
Your Instructors
Every course is taught by an experienced construction industry professional — not academics. Construction Institute instructors are vetted practitioners with active careers in construction management, project delivery, and the built environment. Their teaching reflects how decisions are actually made in the field, the trade-offs, the real contracts, and the practical judgment that textbooks rarely capture.
"I have learned so much already and have been able to implement what I have learned into the field. I have come up with creative solutions to keep schedules on track and improve communication and coordination, and am enjoying building the connection between financial and construction."

How do I receive AIA Learning Units?
