Submit a proposal to speak at the 2027 Women Who Build Summit! Please review the following timeline and guidelines before submitting your proposal. If you have additional questions, contact admin@construction.org.

Timeline:

  • The deadline to submit a proposal is August 28, 2026.
  • All speakers will be notified by October 23, 2026.

Guidelines:

  • Registration: All speakers must register for the conference. A discounted speaker rate will be available and announced in Fall 2026.
  • Honoraria: CI typically does not offer honoraria for speakers, except in rare cases.
  • Presentation Style: We ask that all presentations reflect CI’s mission to foster cross-industry collaboration and respect for diverse viewpoints. Please avoid any marketing, sales pitches, or self-promotion.
  • Breakout Sessions: Limited to 2 speakers. These sessions are designed for smaller groups (up to 100 attendees) and should be interactive and engaging.
  • Panel Discussions: May include up to 4 speakers, including the moderator. We welcome panels that represent a range of professions, backgrounds, and perspectives. Your Panel Discussion may be considered for a Breakout Session if the topic is appropriate.
  • Large Group Workshops: Designed for 250–300 participants seated in collaborative groups at round tables. These sessions should encourage broad engagement and active participation.

Cancellation Policy
Please note our updated cancellation policy, reflective of venue and vendor deadlines. Cancellations must be made 10 business days prior to the start of the series in order to be eligible for a refund. If amount is outstanding, the entire amount will still be due to The Construction Institute. Substitutions may be made before the start date of any event. Events may be rescheduled due to severe weather. We reserve the right to cancel due to insufficient enrollment, in which case event fees will be refunded in full.

Recording and Photographic Release
Registration and attendance at, or participation in, Construction Institute events and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to the use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee’s image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions, and audiotapes of such events and activities by the Construction Institute. No other recording is allowed.
